In 1977, TMI launched an outreach program to take courses to seniors’ residences and centres in response to some of the Institute’s original discussion leaders and students no longer having the mobility to come to courses downtown. Last year over 140 students participated in courses at 10 residences and centres.
For 2012-2013, discussion groups in residences and meeting places of older adults throughout the Montreal area will spend 18 weeks looking at history, literature, poetry, the social sciences and other fields relating to this year’s course, People and Places.
